The Town of Mammoth Lakes now has funds through the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) available for the rehabilitation of units within the town limits. Both owner-occupants and investors may be eligible.
Some highlights of the program include:
- A limited number of $10,000 grants available for owners who are seniors (62+), need ADA upgrades, or earn less than 50% AMI.
- Owner-occupants must income qualify. Loans are deferred at 0% until the participant sells or transfers title or discontinues residence in the dwelling.
- Investors’ tenants must income qualify and a Rent Limitation Agreement must be entered. The loan is at 0%, but payments begin immediately.
