Eastern Sierra Community Housing Announces Jon Stewart as New Executive Director

The Board of Directors of Eastern Sierra Community Housing (ESCH) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jon Stewart as its new Executive Director effective July 20, 2026. Jon Stewart has over 25 years of leadership experience in the non-profit sector with an emphasis on organizational growth and change. He most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of New Horizons Healthcare in Roanoke Virginia. His professional background uniquely combines architecture, building construction, executive leadership, and community development.
Stewart will lead ESCH’s delivery of critical housing services throughout Mono, Inyo and Alpine Counties and will develop key strategies to address the housing crisis in the area. “Jon brings exactly the combination of leadership, organizational development, and collaborative problem- solving that ESCH needs as we enter our next chapter,” said Tom Hodges, President of the ESCH Board of Directors. “His experience building strong organizations, developing strategic partnerships, and creating systems that support long-term success made him the Board’s clear choice. We are excited to welcome him to the Eastern Sierra.”
