Housing Choice Voucher Limited Wait List Opening

The Stanislaus Regional Housing Authority announces the opening of the waiting list for the Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCV) for residents of Amador, Alpine, Calaveras, Inyo, Mariposa, Mono, and Tuolumne Counties and who qualify for the “In Place” and “Permanent Supportive Housing Program Graduate” Local Preferences. The wait list will remain open until further notice.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR INTERESTED APPLICANTS:
The Housing Authority is limiting the wait list opening to applicants who qualify for the Local “In Place” and “Permanent Supportive Housing Program Graduate” preferences. Only those applicants who are determined income eligible and eligible for these local preferences will be admitted to the wait list. This wait list opening limitation is in accordance with HUD PIH Notice 2012-34.

The definition of the “In Place” Local Preference is as follows:

Currently a resident in the following counties:
• Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, Inyo, Mariposa, Mono, and Tuolumne Counties; and
• Applicant families who meet the definition of family/elderly/or disabled who are:
• Not residing in a rental unit which receives Federally subsidy (tenant rent portion set at 30% of net monthly income); and
• Currently residing in a rental unit in which the family qualifies to participate in the Housing Choice Voucher Program; and
• The landlord is willing to enter into a Housing Assistance Payments Contract
NOTE: Non-Resident applicants will be denied admission to the waiting list.

The definition of the “Permanent Supportive Housing Graduate” Local Preference is as follows:

Applicant families participating in Permanent Supportive Housing Program administered by a Local Continuum of Care who are graduating from the program and certified as “graduating” from the support service agency administering the Permanent Supportive Housing Program.
