RE: New Board Members Wanted
Dear Community Member,
The Mammoth Lakes Housing, Inc. (MLH) Board of Directors seeks a new Board member. This is an opportunity to contribute to the future of affordable housing in our majestic region. Our service area encompasses Inyo, Mono, and Alpine counties.
Our newest Board member will be representative of the low-income community, work well in a team setting, be willing to put in time and effort, share in the mission and values of MLH, and enable the Board to address the corporation’s program areas. Some of our exciting programs and projects include new housing developments, multifamily acquisitions, homebuyer assistance, and much more.
There are many personal and professional benefits that come from serving on a non-profit Board of Directors such as: the development of leadership skills, the possibility to affect change, networking opportunities, the chance to give back, an understanding of non-profit governance, and experience with big picture thinking.
The MLH Board typically meets the first Monday of every month at 6 PM in Suite Z, located at 437 Old Mammoth Road, Minaret Village Shopping Center. Currently, meetings are being held using a hybrid in-person/virtual model.
